Streete Watch is a simple neighbours helping neighbours approach, by keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity or acts of anti-social behaviour in your area. The aim is to reduce acts of crime in our community by reporting it to the proper authority, An Garda Siochanna . The garda are currently working with the group on a programme that is aimed at reducing the possibility of crime in our district and surrounding areas and ask for your support, as remember no one can do it without help from the community. Members of the committee involved are calling to residents asking for your support. To cover the expenses of this worthwhile organisation which has full approval of the Garda, they are hoping to receive €10 from each household. The next meeting is this Wednesday, 14th in Streete Parish Park and will be attended by the new Crime Prevention Specialist, paddy Guinan who will explain the best way to protect your property.
